These snapshots belong to K-Pop phenomenon KARA’s Nicole Jung, featuring her hotly defined abs & back muscles. According to allkpop, they were shared through the mobile messenger LINE on the 21st of March, where she wrote “During a day with good weather, Nicole worked out hard”. And just in case you might have missed it, here is another screenshot.
Of course, her shape did not appear overnight nor did it come about from performing by itself. It took a strict healthy diet, a consistent workout routine and time. And a lot of determination. She must have wanted to give fans a real treat.
Nicole Brand Diet Lunch Set
A little peek into her kitchen was made possible through a video clip that was featured on an episode of Star Interviews for KARA on KBS 2. First she invites us to see her shopping day in the marketplace, where she picks fruits like some kiwi. Sheepishly, she also expressed that onion & garlic helps to reduce fats. Always health conscious, she actually keeps a mental track of the exact amount of calories in the fruits she buys. Then she shows a self-made video of her diet where she cooks a meal of cauliflower, mushrooms, coloured pepper, carrots and protein-rich tofu. And if you look just a little to the left near her chopping board you might notice the big red bottle of “mega whey protein”.
Later on she invites us to a day at the ‘P’ Fitness Center Seoul Jamsil-dong. Pilates is her way of maintaining her figure, and her personal trainer helps in both getting her there & make sure she doesn’t overdo it. Motivated by the need to look good on stage, Nicole sweats it out at the gym. To her, “if [she] feels pretty, then [she’s] doing her job”. And then she adds “It’s also for health. I’m very particular about health”.
